Say Hello to Emily at the Cottage: Rebranding & The Future
Hello, and welcome to a new chapter here on this blog – meet, Emily at the Cottage. For the last 5 years, this blog has been tied to my name, and while I still love it, this decision ultimately came to be as I’ve wanted to distance this “brand” away from me, as a person. I recently experienced my first major loss, and in the process of grieving, some things came into perspective; one of them being that I wanted to set more boundaries online. I felt like because I had been sharing so much over the years, maybe it was too late. But you know what? It’s never too late to make a change.
What Can You Expect?
Honestly, nothing really is going to be changing here as far as the type of content goes. This is still the same blog that it was last week, last year, or 3 years ago. I will share lifestyle content, home decor, fashion items I’m loving, and everything in between (though you will notice that I’m primarily going to be focused on sharing more Canadian brands as this is where my audience is). The only major changes you will see are the name change, and rebranding, and that the home category is now my secondary focus. Prior to this rebrand, lifestyle was my primary, fashion was my secondary & home was my tertiary. Essentially, home and fashion did a little switch as I’ve felt more drawn to share lifestyle & home content as of late.
Thank you for the continuous support I’ve had over the last 5+ years. I’m really excited for this change, as it feels more true to what this brand is about, and I’m thrilled to be sharing even more cottagecore content with you in the future.
