My Monthly Favourites for May 2026
Oh May, how thrilled I am to see you again! May is probably one of my favourite months of the entire year – I love to see the gardens waking up for the season, the sun stays out longer, the air warms up (but leaves the humidity for the summer months!), and the bees make their come back. There’s just something so slow and sweet about this month as we slowly get into the summer months, and I think my May favourites truly reflect that.

01. Flower Basket
Wicker is one of my favourite textures in the garden (that, and terracotta!), and this adorable flower basket is no exception. I love how colourful flowers (my personal favourites are pansies!) compliment the neutral tone of the wicker, and really spruce up an outdoor space.
02. Measuring Cups
I recently got these measuring cups and I absolutely love them and use them weekly. I love that they nest into one another and don’t involve a clip that needs to be undone to access each size, plus they’re just so cute! I know these won’t be everyone’s ideal, but if you like a measuring cup with some whimsy, these are great.
03. Short Overalls
I don’t feel like this one needs a ton of explanation because, well, they’re just a great staple item to have in your wardrobe, whether you’re a gardener or not! They’re perfect for in the garden since you have pockets to place things into, they cover your t-shirt well, and of course, they’re cute just as an everyday piece as well.
04. Porch Goose
Okay, who doesn’t want a porch goose?! I know they’re suddenly super popular, but I have loved geese for a few years now, and when I saw this porch goose, I knew I had to have her. I’ve named her Eloise!
05. Cutlery Set
After having brass cutlery for a few years, I decided I finally wanted to make the switch back to silver. It’s a lot easier to maintain, and frankly, even when you hand wash, inevitably, your brass cutlery starts to wear down and look awful. I loved this set because it has a little vintage flair on the ends.
06. Goose Phone Case
Recently, my farm animal phone case broke, so I had to place an order for another. Since it was buy one, get one free, I obviously had to get my hands on this adorable goose case!
07. Watering Can
Over the last few years, I’ve had a metal watering can for my indoor plants, and while it’s served it’s purpose, I could never stop the rusting on the inside of it, no matter what I did. And frankly, I didn’t want to be pouring water from that into my basil plants, so I got this adorable rooster watering can recently, and I’m in love with it! It’s also made in Canada!
08. Outdoor Watering Can
Déjà vu much? Yes, another watering can has made it into my monthly favourites, but that’s because this is the one I use outdoors! I’ve had this watering can for a few years and I absolutely love it. It holds so much water, and makes it that I can water my entire garden in one shot.
09. Hose Nozzle
Remember the hose that was on my April favourites? Well, this month it’s all about this beautiful lead-free brass nozzle. The quality is so apparent from the moment you open the packaging for this nozzle, and I love how easy it is to change the spray on it!
10. Garden Clogs
I always swore I’d never be the person who wore garden clogs, but alas, here we are. I love these green clogs so much that I’m seriously considering getting them in another colour too! They’re great cause I don’t need to worry about getting them dirty – they’re easy to clean up and I can just spray them off at the end of my gardening session.
11. The Purposeful Gardener
Last but not least, The Purposeful Gardener! This is such a great book if you’re getting into gardening this year. It lays out everything you need to know to get started, and maintain a successful backyard garden.
I know I say this very frequently, but it’s really, really hard to believe that we’re entering a whole new month so soon, and that we’re almost half way through 2026! I’m aiming to slow down even more and enjoy each and every moment… before we know it, the holidays will be back again… *shudders*.
