How to Make Easter Cinnabunnies

Is there really anything in this world better than a sweet treat on a holiday long weekend morning? Especially if that treat is a cinnamon bun!? Speaking as someone who generally prefers savoury to sweet, cinnamon buns are one of the exceptions to that rule for myself, personally.

The only thing that could make cinnamon buns even better than they already are, is when they’re in the shape of the sweetest little bunnies! Now, this all being said, before I get into how I made these adorable bunny-shaped cinnamon buns, I'd like to start by saying this is not my recipe — it’s actually from So Dressed Up, so full credit to the Cinnabunnies Recipe go right to her! I didn’t follow her instructions exactly though, so I’ll share how I made mine below.

Easter Cinnabunnies

Yields 5 Large Cinnabunnies

Ingredients

2 Packages of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls (Large Size)

Directions

Place one entire package of cinnamon rolls (5) on a large baking pan, spread out as widely as possible. (You may need to use two baking sheets, or do two batches depending on the space in your oven).
Open up the second package, and one cinnamon roll at a time, unroll the cinnamon roll entirely, until you have a long line.
Cut off approximately 1.5 inches of the cinnamon roll, and place the small excess piece aside.
On your baking tray, shape your unrolled piece of dough into bunny ears above the formed cinnamon roll, and try your best to connect the two without losing the shape of the years or formed roll. Repeat with your remaining 4 cinnamon rolls.
Once done, following the instructions on the package for the oven temperature, cook your cinnabunnies in the oven.
After they've been cooked & allowed to cool for a few moments, add the provided icing from the package on top of your cinnabunnies & serve!
